Crescent Group Camp

The campground is ideally located on the “big water” of Lake Hartwell with all sites located on the waterfront that offer great views. The camp offers water, showers and restrooms and some sites have electrical supply. Camping is by reservation only. The camp is located off Hwy. 29, near Hartwell Dam. Outdoor water recreation and wildlife observation are popular activities at this 395 acre park that is on a peninsula providing access to Lake Hartwell. The park features a lakeside campground, fishing, picnicking, hiking and boat access to 56,000-acre lake. Visitors can enjoy viewing glimpses of deer, turkey and other wildlife. 12 mi. SW of Anderson off SC 187 and 14 miles from I-85 (exit 14). 60 sites. (43 RV, 17 T) (Two handicapped sites). Open daily.

Located on Lake Hartwell, with 75 sites on the waterfront, the campground is conveniently located to many of the Upcountry’s attractions. The campground is nine miles southwest of Anderson off SC Hwy. 187 and has 79 sites. (T, RV) April 1-Sept. 30.

Kings Mountain is a traditional 6,883-acre park. Enjoy hiking, lake fishing, johnboat and canoe rentals, equestrian trails and more. The park preserves a “Living History” 1850’s upstate farm. The park is located 14 mi. northwest of York on SC 161. Open daily.

An excellent park for nature enthusiasts and photographers, at 3,266’ above sea level, Caesars Head provides views of Table Rock, Pinnacle Mt. and other distant peaks of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Raven Cliff Falls, along a hiking trail in the park, has one of the highest falls in the Eastern US. Open daily. (TS).

The 3,346-acre park offers trailside camping. Located in the 10,000-acre Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area, the park encompasses the Middle Saluda Scenic River and is an access point to the Foothills Hiking Trail. More than 400 species of plants can be found here. Open daily. (TS).

The park is one of the oldest protected areas in the state. The 1,540-acre park features hiking, biking trails, picnic areas and 3 camping options. Family camping area offers water and electrical hook-ups; group primitive and trail-side sites are also available. The park is open year-round.


Pleasant Ridge County Park

The park is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains on 240 acres with swimming, fishing, and a 25-site campground (T, RV). Four fully-furnished cabins available for year-round rental. Owned and operated by the Greenville County Recreation District. Open daily. I-85 S. Exit 92 to SC 11 or I-85 N. Exit 1 to SC 11.

The park has 59 full hook-up sites with patios and paved drives. 50 amps and 30 amps are available. From I-85 take Exit 44.  Travel east on White Horse Road to red light and turn right onto Donaldson Rd. The park is on right, three miles from I-85.

Cassidy Bridge Primitive Camp

The camp is located in the Sumter National Forest Campground and Recreation Area. The primitive camp is open year around along the banks of the Chauga River. The site is available for group reservations two weeks or more in advance except during turkey or big-game hunting seasons. No facilities.


Chau Ram County Park

The park is located at the confluence of the Chauga River and Ramsey Creek. Visitors can enjoy hiking and biking trails, go tubing or fishing on the river, camp and enjoy the 40-foot waterfall and the suspension bridge over the river. The park is located 4 miles west of Westminster on US Hwy. 76. 28 sites. (T, RV) Mar 1-Dec. 1.


Cherry Hill Recreation Area

The campground is located in the Sumter National Forest Campground and Recreation Area. The 29 site campground offers flush toilets, hot showers, and a dump station, but no hook-ups. Large spaces accommodate recreational vehicles, and there are gravel tent pads. Follow SC Hwy 28 N, taking the right fork on Hwy 107. Located a few miles north on the right. Open April to October weather permitting.


Coneross Campground

The campground is located on the Seneca River arm of the northern end of the expansive Lake Hartwell. The campground is ten miles Southeast of Seneca off Coneross Creek Road. 106 sites. (T, RV) May 1-Sept 9.

Double Springs Camping Area

The camping area offers primitive campsites on the shore of Lake Jocassee and is accessible by boat only. $4 per person per night Su-Th and $5 per person per night F-Sa. Registration upon arrival is required and camping area is first come, first served.

The 44-acre park is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and offers camping, fishing, swimming, tennis courts, miniature golf, a boat ramp and concession on the beautiful Lake Keowee. The park is 10 miles north of Walhalla off SC Hwy. 183 with 92 sites. A convenience store is on site. Water and electricity at all sites (RV, T). Year-round.

Two lakefront camper cabins are one-room log cabins that, with sturdy walls and enough bed space to sleep four people, are more accommodating than a tent or popup. Each camper cabin comes with a set of bunk beds, a double bed and has heat and air conditioning. Camping provides easy access to the shoreline of Lake Hartwell. RV and tent campers enjoy 115 paved sites with water and electrical hookups or 13 walk-in tent sites with central water but no electrical hookups.

The campground, on Lake Hartwell, offers the perfect setting for primitive camping. The campground is located 8 miles southeast of Seneca off of Coneross Creek Road. 63 sites. (T, RV). May 1-Sept. 9.

The 1,165-acre park is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge offers 155 campsites (140 RV, 15 T and two handicapped sites) with water and electrical hook-ups for RV’s, 19 cabins, trails and two lakes. The park is open year-round. Tent sites closed during off season. 12 mi. NW of Walhalla, SC 28 onto SC 107.

The history of the Upper Cherokee Indians, who once lived in the area, can be found in the park’s museum. The 1,000-acre park features rock outcroppings that offer views of the Foothills and Blue Ridge Mountains. Camping facilities include 24 sites (10 RV, 14T) (one handicapped site) (TS) Water and electrical hook-ups for RV’s. Central water for tent camping. The park is open year-round and is located 12 mi. NW of Pickens at the intersection of SC 133 and SC 11.

The park, on Lake Keowee, offers waterfront and water view sites. Visitors can enjoy camping, fishing, boating, pier and park store. The park is located 16 miles north of Clemson off S.C. Hwy. 133. 69 sites with power and water & 10 primitive campsites. 3 boat ramps. (T, RV). Open year-round. Reservations available for 7 or more nights and must be made 14 days in advance; otherwise campsites first come, first served.


Table Rock State Park

The park provides a towering backdrop for an Upcountry retreat at the edge of the Blue Ridge Escarpment. The 3,083-acre park includes trails, lakes, cabins and camping. Water, electrical hook-ups, bath houses and 94 sites are available. (94 RV) Open year-round and is located 12 mi. N. of Pickens on SC 11.

Twin Lakes Campground

Twin Lakes is one of the most popular campgrounds on Lake Hartwell. Located off U.S. Hwy. 76, 5 miles west of Pendleton with 102 sites. (T, RV) March 1-Nov. 30.

The former World War II Army training camp features 7,054 acres of rolling terrain, two lakes that support an excellent habitat, trails, equestrian facilities and camping. Visitors can visit cemeteries of early settlers or remnant Army structures. 50 camping sites are available. (T, RV, P) (2 handicapped sites) Water and electrical hook-ups for RV’s are available and is open year-round. Off SC 56, 5 mi. SE of Spartanburg.
