Caesars Head Visitors Center

The center offers a visual orientation to the Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area. Literature and exhibits describe the area’s natural history, with emphasis on the extensive trails system and include an exhibit that relates the story of early settlers. The shop has gift items as well as brochures on Upcountry attractions and facilities. The center is located at Caesars Head State Park, NW of Greenville off US 276, and approximately eight miles off Hwy. 11, at the SC /NC border. Open daily 9am-5pm.

Travel assistance and newcomer information is available at South Carolina Welcome Centers that offer area information. South Carolina operates ten welcome centers across the state, including three in South Carolina’s Upcountry. Services include complimentary lodging reservations, routing assistance and information on South Carolina attractions, facilities and events. Services are available 9am-5:30pm daily, year-around. The centers are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. Restrooms are open 24 hours daily.
